About the Conference

Connection Collective: Borderless. The conference aims to summon practitioners, entrepreneurs, business experts, researchers and educators to present researches which lead businesses to attain global competitiveness.

The Global Business Conference (GBC) encourages the promotion of global trade research and development to enrich managerial, export, and organizational competitiveness of SMEs in the Asia-Pacific region. This has become the venue for educators, students, researchers, and business practitioners to network with each other and share updates on global business. On its 11th year, the GBC calls for proposals on the following areas:

Submitted abstracts must not have been presented, scheduled for presentation, published or accepted for publication. No changes in the abstract title, authorship, and title can occur after it has been submitted. ABSTRACT must contain up to 500 words only.

  3. All papers will be peer-reviewed. Only those papers that have passed the reviewer’s criteria and submitted within the deadline will be included in the Journal of Global Business (CD or online).

St. Scholastica’s College-Manila St. Scholastica’s College (SSC) is one of the Philippines’ most prestigious and progressive colleges for women. The College is located within the city limits of Manila, once popularly known as the “gateway to the orient”. It is bounded by Estrada Street on the north, P. Ocampo Street (formerly Vito Cruz) on the south, Singalong Street on the east and Leon Guinto Street on the west. It lies a block away from Taft Avenue where the Light Rail Transit (LRT) is conveniently situated.
St. Scholastica’s College is a Catholic institution recognized by the Department of Education (DepEd) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). It is a charter member of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). Since its foundation in 1906, St. Scholastica’s College has been administered by the Missionary Benedictine Sisters of Tutzing. Starting with the elementary grades, it admitted high school students in 1907 and opened its collegiate department in 1920. It pioneered formal music education in the Philippines, opening a Conservatory of Music in 1907 which, to the present, has turned out most of the leading women musicians of the country. Within its 3.6 hectare campus is an enrollment of 4,837 (figure as of September 2013) elementary, secondary, college and graduate students. On December 3, 2007, the National Historical Institute (NHI) approved the unveiling of the historical marker commemorating the school’s 100 year history. In 2012, the Friedenshaus Hotel School was opened and in 2013, the School of Music was named as a Center of Excellence in Music Education by the Commission on Higher Education.

Association of Marketing Educators, Philippines The Association of Marketing Educators, Philippines (AME) was organized in 1988 when the Philippine Marketing Association, Inc. (PMA) pursued its theme: "Maximizing Marketing Opportunities in a Rebounding Economy."
The theme "Maximizing Marketing Opportunities in a Rebounding Economy" led Dr. Marivic Ac-ac to come up with a project that would propagate the training of well-prepared graduates by strengthening the academic sector of Marketing. Thus, professional organization for marketing professor was organized called the "Association of Marketing Educators" (AME).
That vision was translated into a specific project plan, which received the approval and strong support of the 1988 PMA Board of Directors and Officers under the leadership of then President Sandy Pagulayan. Its first organizational meeting which was held on March 26, 1988 at the Metropolitan Club's San Juan Room.
